You're probably using a 5-GHz 802.11n network, which usually has a shorter range than a 2.4 GHz 802.11g network.

That doesn't make it acceptable to torture him (or anyone else) - you can't win a war against terrorists by becoming a terrorist. Where would you draw the line and how do you determine that the line is in the "correct" place?
If you say it's OK to torture someone who knows a lot but won't tell you what he knows, how do you determine he's not telling you everything and therefore sanction torture? Before you know it, you are sanctioning torture against everyone "just in case" and it then becomes a routine part of any interrogation against anyone you capture.
I know there are no easy answers to this, and I don't know how I would react if my daughter's life was at risk and could be saved by torturing someone, but I do know that torture is wrong in and of itself and cannot be justified from a moral perspective
One thing I have not made clear, is that I agree that it is wrong, and immoral, but at the same time I think there are some cases where it is called for.
I do not advocate its use for ordinary soldiers or officers captured in a "real" war, but to be perfectly honest, I have zero compassion for the likes of KSM and people like him, to me this guy does not even deserve to be called a human being. Seriously, the iOS maps app is so unreliable. Sometimes it's super fast and sometimes (i.e. whenever I really need it quickly) it lags so bad, doesn't load maps or traffic info, takes forever to get directions, etc, and basically makes me want to throw my iPhone out the window. The maps app needs a serious reliability overhaul.
Also, what is so bad about the iOS notification system? I just hit "Close" if I don't care about a notification at that time.

So Samsung believed Apple was violating it's patents all this time but decided to do nothing about it. Now that they have been pushed they decide to act. Sounds to me they are trying to find whatever they can to bite back at Apple.
Most companies infringe on each others patents, but dont tend to act when a company infringes on theirs, because they know they're infringing on theirs too, or someone else's.

this might be OT, but the castle thing made me think of a few other points too. Apologies in advance.
1. MobileMe should NOT be rebranded. They can "add cloud castle level security" whatever, but keep it simple. MobileMe has great recognition (if a subpar rep, but see AppleTV) attached to it.
2. MobileMe should be worth the money. It is currently a ripoff when so much else is free. Apple should give a small wifi dropbox style sync for free among apple products (like dropbox) under the MobileMe name, and a wifi sync for iphone (free). This is not "entitlement", this is a basic functionality in 2011.

Yes security relying on obscurity is no security at all, but that doesn't mean that obscurity isn't a valid early security measure. So keeping your iCloud user name separate is important.
After all your email address is out there in public, so you don't want that tied to your private storehouse do you.
Also If someone has a different public face ie. their own domain then the syncing service could still be useful to them.

I'm not sure why people are all out of sorts with this increase. Basically it seems people are mad that it will cost them more to end a contract early? Is upgrading before the end of two years really that important?

So my friend gave me the Install Xcode.app and every time I double click it to install it nothing happens. I see my dock move a little bit, like its about to open up a new application down there, but then it goes away. It only moves like 5 pixels so I can't see what app is going on the dock. Is there anyway for me to install it? If he needs to sign in as a developer on his account thats fine, but how would we do that?

Read the product reviews before buying. Some people are complaining that some games are impossible to play on the iPhone screen. Additionally, some games just can't cross over into a touch screen environment because of joystick limitations.
