I think your missing the point.
Some of us are bored of the X factor and Simon Cowell. This is some fun to put a bit of unpredictability in to something that was almost certainty.

If it's "just some fun" then that's a different story...but it's not. Other than portables, i've never really seen the point in slim consoles. All my consoles are fatties and i've never thought of selling them to buy a slim.
The 360 slim looks like a little kids toy next to the fat 360. Its just soooo cheesy and tacky. The original 360 case was much better, imo.

Why not just have high fuel taxes ala Europe?In CT we are taxed I believe 50 cents on every gallon. The problem is that as gas prices rise people buy less of it and the taxes dry up.

MS took off the manufacturer's build (with tons of bloat-ware) and put their own on. It included a lot MS of extras (photo, video editing, music editor - sounding familiar?) and their premium Anti-Virus with lifetime subscription.
When it booted, it only asked for my username and the type of network to connect to (again - familiar? LOL)
I haven't had any problems with it whatsoever... :eek:

Yet these are the machines of choice when price is no object and the job must get done. Just think about this: these boards are filled with laments that effectively tell you that you need substaintially higher clock speeds to run a computer game than you need to simulate the gas flow in a jet engine. Don't you think that something is just a bit warped here?

I don't think this will serve Apple any good to stop podcasters from using Pod in the name. It will only create ill-will and lessen the use of Pod which I would think would be a good thing for Apple.

Apple hasn't dipped its toe in the ruggedized computer business, has it? That's bound to be one aspect of army interest.

I'm fairly certain AirPlay is actually a standard that Apple has licensed from another company which is why there were already a few receivers on the market that supported or could be updated to support AirPlay.
You must confusing it with something else. AirPlay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPlay) is Apple's updated version of AirTunes which has been around for years.

These greedy right-wingers refusing to cut the corporate handouts and raise taxes are going to force financial hardship on hundreds of thousands of people if there's a shut-down. They need to put their zealotry aside for a moment, and realize that the revenue has to be fixed. now. $Trillions in debt? And they want to spend more on bull #$%& missiles and planes? Talk about clueless. When you're this far in debt, you can't afford to flush more money down the toilet on controversial programs like defense, etc.

The fact that congress cannot construct a budget is simply a failure of them to perform their duties. Part of the reason is that the motivation to avoid a shutdown isn't great enough, thus I propose a two-fold solution to motivate them a little
1) Congress persons do not get paid during the shutdown. Perhaps if they were to not get paid they would be more motivated.
2) In the event of a shutdown all members of congress immediately become ineligible to run for re-election for their current position and ineligible to run in any other federal election. Since a shutdown means they've failed, they shouldn't be allowed to continue.
That would be extra sweet. Wouldn't it require a constitutional amendment?

I agree, except for one little thing===> HD Content distribution. No real solution for that one yet.
If you can watch an HD movie over your satilite or cable system then somehow the cable or stilite company found a way to electronically distribute the HD content to you. That 25GB of data found a way to get into your house. Not only did it get into the huse but it did it in real time

No manufacturer is going to develop LTE unless it is cheap as America in limited areas is the only place you can use it really? What manufacturer is going to literally waste money? I highly doubt we will see it, but maybe the US version will have it and follow what others have done?
I don't really care to be honest as I only use it to browse the web when I'm out and as in the UK it's a case of who knows when we get LTE, I'm not holding my breath! 3G FTW!!

The current guideline is to post links to external sources, and then slowly merge that data into the MacGuides. A good example right now is the PowerMacG4 page, which has some links to user-created pages and some links to external pages.
