This is useful for those singles who have applied for green card but are worried about getting it before being married. And there appears to be quite a number of them.
Even if it is not useful for all those married green card applicants, this is a huge thing for the singles even if they are in the long Q. This is a long term solution for a section of the IV community. Because it is not useful to married doesn't mean that it is not relevant to IV community.
I have seen people who didn't apply during July fiasco though they are eligible just because they cannot bring the spouse if they get married. Absolutely it is relevant to all those singles out there in this community.

6 years ago i found the project myself, he didnt do nothing, plus he didnt pay a dime for my h1s, extensions or even green card.
Check with a good attorney like Sheela Murthy or Rajiv Khanna after 6 months... Until then you really don't have any choice... I am surprised to see that you worked for this employer for last 6 years and this is the state of your relationship... Did he paid for all the legal fees or was it paid by you??

I think if 5000 people from EB3 India with PD in 2007 moved to EB2, then that means 5000 people are reduced from the EB3 India queue?
The fact is those 5000 people are not in the begining of the line. So you don't see date movement for EB3.

Could anyone, please help me with this issue?:
My company who sponsored my green card is living in Massachusets....is it ok if my company sent the package of I-485 and I-140 to Nebraska?( concurrent filing)..they should't have sent the package to Texas? ( my consulting company is in MA, but I work at the client site in Texas).
Please advise me as I'm very confused and worried.

I know we can enter back on AP.

Hi All,
My wife entered US on H4 Visa. Her H4 is valid until Oct 2009. Last year, she got her EAD and started working on EAD. If she has to travel out of the country and come back, can she do it on H4 until 2009 or will she need an AP now that she has used her EAD..
Could anyone please share..Apologies if this is a repeat. Could not find any info on the forums.
Same situation for us in May 2008 when we travelled to Canada...my wife was on H4; then started working on EAD. We had APs as well. But, we also had a valid visa stamping in our passport until May 2009. My lawyer told us that either is ok. But, asked us to use H1B/H4 and we did that. My wife collected her's from VFS but they do not give it out the same day either at the consulate or the VFS. The earliest I guess is 3 PM the next day that you can collect it.

Well How do you know that all the members who are registered with IV is aware of this Webfax? Did you guys notify them in anyway? Do you expect/mandate all the IV members should be checking the website/forums all the time? No Hard feeling.... Just my 2 cents

1) The immigration debate is really hot. Monday is when the action starts. its not something 2 years down the line. Hence, we hope that members keep on updating themselves by visiting the site regularly
2) We cannot send an email everytime we want to send a webfax because initially we were thinking of sending a new fax every 2 days last week. But on advise of QGA, we decided to send only one fax. If we had gone the route of sending a fax every 2 days, would it be appropriate to send an email every two days? We do not want to associate IV's newsletter with some junkmail that comes everyday!

I am in the same boat with you.
485 package was delivered by UPS on NSC and the tracking number shows it delivered on the morning of June 08.
However, until this moment there is still no receipts annd check is not cashed.
As Canadian_Dream suggest, we just have to wait a little more time and if still no result, I will submit another copy for the application.

Call customer service - select the address change option and when you get to a customer service agent give them the receipt number and they will verify the information on it. If it doesnt match they will advise you. Then you know if its your receipt number or not.

you can apply for LC and I-140. Its the I-485 that you cannot apply (& once you apply cant get approved) unless your date is current.

This is very clear. An I-485 can not be approved unless its PD is current. So all pending I-485's remain hanging till its PD becomes current. CIS may continue processing such hanging 485 applications in the background, but its final approval is always held back till its PD becomes current again.
Rule of thumb: Door must be open (i.e. PD must be current) to get the I-485 application in, and to get it out again.

Very nice photos, I like the reflections and the wing positions. You could clone out the poop if you want to.
I use extension tubes on my 500/4 as well as the 100-400 to reduce the near focusing limit. If you can get close enough it's a great way of increasing the magnification (and filling the frame more).

My I140 got rejected with reason "Education Equivalency" not once but twice, because I just have 3 years of Bachelor's degree (BSc Comp Science) and one year of diploma in computer science.
So my employer reappealed it, now the status of my I-140 is showing as "Sent to AAO" would like to know if there are any chance's of getting I140 approved? Did anyone had this kind of issue. Please reply!

I am currently working as full time and planning to move to consulting. I have the below questions
(i) I know its a bit risky to move to consulting right now compared to Fulltime, but still i See the H1 petetions for most of consutling companies are getting approved.
Do you think is it OK to move to consulting from Full time?
(ii)As client letter is mandatory these dayz, whats the best approach to apply for transfer? Like e finding the project and proceed for premium processing
