What would you like to see?
The iTracy watch that does everything and MR posters will complain that it's not 10 inches big, doesn't come in white, with matte screen option, for FREE etc.etc..

The rest was just done.
iphone 5 will get a significant overhaul in ios, not product shape or form I think. Maybe replace the back glass panel and their everlasting quest for weight loss.
Some other areas are not of interest to Apple.
Developmental cycles many times have gaps.
One company is launching something in April, the other in October.
When October stuff comes out it will fall behind in development once April from another manufacturer launches, then they take turns trying to outdo each other.
As long as they all work on their stuff , it's all good for the consumers.

I hope it fixes the USB connection to Canon cameras. They broke it with 10.4.7. I'm still booting from my portable backup drive when shooting tethered (looks really pro on location).
I dread the going-backwards-sytem-reinstall BS tho, so that's what I have been doing.

There's a reason why it'd be easier to make an AWS iPhone than a CDMA iPhone; CDMA is pretty much monopolized by Qualcomm, so if Apple wanted a CDMA iphone it'd probably cost quite a bit to make.
Of course, Apple could simply buy out Qaulcomm. I kinda look forward to the day Steve walks out on stage and starts bragging about Verizon's awesome coverage areas lol.

There is no 4th generation CDMA standard because it died on the planning table.
GSM technology went like this:

Their performance on the economy has been pretty good so far (even though prior to the recession they opposed the very banking regulations that kept Canada in decent shape coming out of the crisis). At the moment the economy seems to be the #1 priority for most people, and I guess a change in government in the middle of a recovery was not what people wanted.
The conservatives campaigned on "we didn't want an election, we were in the middle of fixing the economy when the other parties decided to call an election, all we ask is for a majority government so that we can go back to work and fix the economy without these distractions". I think that resonated with a lot of people.
Like I said- get ready for some very unwanted by-products. They will do everything they can to pit you against each other and divide your country on social issues- that's how they work. That's what they've done to us. Don't let them do it to you.

Would you want Donald Trump as our president? I am really on the fence for this one.
What could possibly have you on the fence? Was it the birther issue? Him taking his casinos into bankruptcy 3 times? His Iraq solution to just "take all the oil"? His China solution to renegotiate? His general I'm a dumb, rich, ****ing American badass attitude? His public feuds with Rosie O'Donnell?
This is the first time I am allowed to vote so I am paying attention to politics more than ever. I mean it would be good to have a completely loaded president so he "can" spend some of his money for the economy, which Trump says he will do.

I first thought this whole Folding thing had to do with laundry.
Once they've learnt enough i guess they would be able to use the knowledge in other fields of science, maybe even the cleaning sciences if you find this more important than the health aspect.

Hmm... I've held off on buying both a new phone and a new iPod for a while now, assuming that I'd want whatever phone Apple eventually comes out with, but the mention of battery life issues concerns me. If the battery goes dead on my iPod, no big deal, I don't listen to music until I charge it again. But if the battery goes dead on my phone, I could miss an important call. And if I have to monitor how much music I listen to to ensure that I can still receive calls, that might be a problem. Ideally, they could address this concern by having some software that told you well in advance that if you stop listening to music now, you still have so much time left on your phone.

I find it funny how investors continue to trust these "analyst" even though none of them have any insider information and are wrong 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time they have been correct was from publishing rumors as facts from stories they more likely read here on MacRumors regarding future products.

The Consumerist was not lying, nor was AT&T lying; the call center employee wasn't even lying...s/he was just talking out of his or her ass. Call center employees are underpaid and under-trained, and half the time I think they're just trying to BS their way through the day. It has happened many times before that a low-level employee who is not even close to the loop has said something that has to be walked back by management. Always such things become gospel and remain fodder for conspiracy theorists. This strikes me as one of those cases.

I ordered a MBP last evening, and cancelled my order late last night after realizing that it is WAY more than I need. I have been waiting for this Merom update for ages, but I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer for the MMB. The MBP was just way too over-the-top for my use, and way too expensive for what I need.
So now that I'm on this bandwagon...

I unplugged everything and that made it work.
Network Cable
USB devices (3)
Firewire400 (1)
Firewire800 (1)
I didn't think to unplug them one at a time to control for where the problem was. Oh well. If your drives comes out and snaps back in right away without updating the firmware. Remove all devices before rebooting.
My drive came out, and stayed out the entire time the bar was progressing, then it went back in and the maching restarted.
EDIT: I have Keyboard and Mouse ONLY hooked up to the computer.

BTW.... Word and Excel are the only two applications from MS I like... and others are right. Pages and Numbers can't hold a candle to Office... yet.
But I have always found it annoying that many times while trouble shooting or surfing MS web site you're constantly reminded you're not running the latest version of Windows. Subtle marketing I guess? :rolleyes:
