Unix and Linux are used for way more than just "web server". Maybe you should try working 1 day in IT before you talk about IT. ;)
Of course, you probably don't want to hear the truth and wouldn't accept it anyhow, keep believing in Windows' importance because that's what you see on the desktop, I'll keep working on real OSes in my cushy IT job far away from anything made by Redmond.

I doubt very much Macbook is getting updates at the same time Pro Models do. Thats not how Apple operates. First the pro models will be updated then that tech will show up months later in Macbook with some crippling like in the Gpu.

You're right that Windows has the major retail cash register & ATM market down. However, a lot of stores don't use Windows (pretty much any small business that uses those casio cash registers doesn't, and many chains like 99 cent stores just use those tiny keyboard-is-the-computer registers that I am 100% certain DO NOT run Windows).
On that note, I can tell you that Dish Network uses Linux on all of their receivers, but then Comcast and VZ use Windows on their receivers *ponders*

The Mac keyboards do seem to be photogenic, don't they? I like the use of strong contrast in this image. What lens did you use and is there any of a vignette applied in post?

Used some off camera flash to create contrast between the falling snow and the rest of the scene. Totally forgot to CTO gel it but oh well! Even more contrast now!
Nice composition except for the bright light. Maybe a long shutter time to streak the snow?

I have just figured something out in the server admin app that allows you to modify the services i will upload the images of this after i finnish uploading the rest of the images. this will take some time.

Yeah, tell me about it (looks down at my Quad). But honestly, I think it will suck even more for Adobe, as they are really limiting themselves in the market that they can reach. Come on Adobe, it wouldn't be THAT hard to code according to Apple's Universal standards, would it?
If the CS3 situation is any example, then Adobe would have you believe the answer to that question is "YES". ;)
And yes, there still is a very large PPC user base out there which Adobe will risks alienating with this type of a decision. If they can make CS3 UB, and that's not coming out until spring of how come they can't make SoundBooth (a relatively simpler app compared to CS3) UB as well, which will be released presumably only a few months afterwards? :confused:

The NDS (at least in the UK) launched with Mario 64 DS and Wario Ware Touched, two great games rated 85 and 81 by metacritic.com respectively.

My Verizon iPhone had the incorrect time, when I turn off the "set time automatically" it does correct itself. Kind of frustrated, I do use the iPhone for my alarm clock, and have for the last 4 or so years, it would be nice to be able to trust it to ring when it is expected to.

Can somebody explain to me why anybody would want to pay $100/year for an email account with only 1 GB of storage?
Because you love Apple and want them to be really profitable and design more wonderful stuff and take over the world and you can say you were ahead of the curve rather than having to explain why a computer needn't crash! Or maybe you just got $100 to burn and you could do worse!;)

I know ATT drops more calls than Verizon but everyone thats tested both data plans (even professional reviewers like Walt Mossberg from AllthingsD) say that the ATT data plan is superior in every single way.
No one bitches about the ATT data plan, they just hate the dropped calls on every single call they make and I understand that people are angry about that.
But the iPad is not a phone and I'm certain most people buy Verizon iPads thinking that its better just because there are problems with ATT iPhone.
In the end you get half the 3G speed on Verizon and also won't be able to use the network in most parts of the world.
I wouldn't trade ATT for Verizon in terms of iPads.
I bitch about it. I get decent speeds at work but crap speeds sitting on my couch at home. I work 3/4 mile away from my home. My house is wood frame/brick. AT&T speeds and signal are inconsistent. This is obviously an opinion held by most of the public.
To be honest, I didn't want a Verizon iPad unless it was LTE. This made me not want an AT&T iPad either. Then I finally realized I didn't want any modem in my iPad, I'd rather get the WiFi and tether....so this is what I did.

Haha, I can already see the next Verizon ad! This is pathetic. Surely Apple has worked out a deal with another carrier for 2010? At least AT&T doesn't completely suck where I work and play. Well, except my mother-in-laws house, which really sucks because what else am I supposed to do there? They don't even have wifi. I should have bought them a router for Christmas.
