All: I applied for advance parole on Feb -9 , delivered Feb -11. I filed under new fees structure and hence I am exempt from fees. I clearly mentioned that in the letter. However, till date I have received no receipt. How should I handle this?

Once you get a receipt notice you could send the correct marriage certificate with a letter explaining the mistake. It will probably lead to a RFE and not a rejection.
Just noticed that my lawyer has attached marriage certificate of my co-worker in the dependendent's petition. I am waiting for the receipt.
What are the impacts of this mistake? To compound the issue, my wife is flying out next week for a month to India.
Gurus any answers on this is deeply appreciated.

I did a bit more reasearch and found out that, I won't loose the EB3 priority date after the EB2 I-140 approval. I will have both options (EB3 & EB2) open. I will be able to use either of them depending upon what is current at that time.

I just received my H1B starting Oct 1st. My desi (cheap) employer first decided to not pay me till Oct 15th because I didn't have a SSN. Then after my SSN came they decided that they wanted to reduce my salary, the reason being that the company's economic situation has changed since Jan filing.
I am concerned because I am going for my visa stamping in March and the last thing I want is to be out of status! When I mentioned this to my boss his answer was -- We will give you a letter stating that you are working reduced number of hours, and we cannot afford the salary promised on I-129.
Can somebody help? What are my options? I was on H4 and moved to H1. I am really frustrated with their attitude and in this economy it is really hard to find a job.
Any help would be great.

May be you are at wrong time and wrong place. Work this out patiently.

While try to gain some real work experince working here for a while , Please try to find out another sponsor and switch.

My situation is as under : " My case is in removal proceedings for violating H1b status for 3 months due to laid off situation, i am working on H1b now and my labor is approved and I-140 is pending, now my priority date is become current for I-485 filing", now who will adjudicate my case, INS or EOIR court, where will i file my I-485.
will court close my removal proceedings based on PD current..
i will really really apprecate your help.
Dont want to futher your suffering but you are hosed. I have a consultant working in our office with a similar situation and he is planning Canada.
I dont think this board has a solution for you. But a real good immigration attorney may do something (and that does not necessarily mean Murthy Or Khanna). Remember you still have a chance until you are in US. Legal or whatever, just run and scan every out you got.
From my common sense understanding the court won't do what you wish.

Dont worry. With proper documentation you can prove that you dont have an immigration intent NOW. What matters is the immigration intent NOW.
Logically NOT filing 485 and LEAVING US for a lengthier period of time itself is a hint towards non-immigration intent. (I agree that USCIS might not always follow the logic).
Obviously you need to show about your strong ties in home country and why you might want to come back.
But the consulate can come-up with their own decision, since "intent" is something which can never be proved 100% . And the officers at consulate are instructed to consider every visa applicant as a possible immigrant.

I went through the same ordeal about a year and a half ago. After unsuccessful attempts to buy it on my own through internet companies, I went to a good agent who got me a 20 year term life policy with a AAA rated company for about $220/year for a 500,000 coverage. Basically, I got the same rate an US citizen would get. I would advise you to go through an agent, they can do multiple quote and many are knowledgeable about H1 visas and the best thing is you don't pay any thing extra because the agents get their commission from the insurance companies. I am not part of the founder org. but I am just shocked at the venom you show in all your messages.
Your goals so far has been
1. Complain and rant about things.
2. Discourage people for participating in IV.
3. Trying to do a "divide-and-conquer" within IV.
IV is for all legal EB based immigration - it is very clear in the mission statement what is its goal.
Also, even if IV was as myopic as you claim, future generations of EB immigrants wll benefit simply by virtue of the fact that people currently in line will not fight with them for GC.

We are in process of extending visitor visa for my parents-in-law.
We have filed I -539 form thro� USCIS E-FILE. We paid $300 for extension fees. They did not ask for any documentation, so we have not sent any. We got the acknowledgement of receipt from USCIS. We applied one month before their six month stay expires. If I do not get any reply from USCIS before their stay expires, is it illegal for them to continue their stay? If anyone has gone thro� a similar situation, please provide some insight. Any expert opinion will highly appreciated.
